Maureen Welfare

A Brighton-born self-taught artist, Maureen paints in oils. Her subjects cover landscapes, animals and portraits, her commissions hang in private collections in South Africa, France, Germany, New York, Tokyo, Australia and Channel Islands, Switzerland, Norway and throughout this country. She has successfully exhibited in Germany and France, with several Mid-Sussex Galleries and participated in many Susses exhibitions, The Wildlife Artists Society in London and Brighton and with The Adventurers Art Club, of which she is now President. She organises Charity art exhibitions to raise money for local causes, such as Headway, The Parkinsons Disease Society and for joint exhibitions with artists from Bondues, Near Lille – the twinned town with Haywards Heath.
